Main Street Gaffney manages the revitalization of the Downtown Redevelopment District, which includes the National Register-listed historic district. The department works with existing businesses and property owners to renovate or rehabilitate properties as well as with local entrepreneurs on the development of new business in the downtown area and stewards the Downtown Gaffney Master Plan.
Main Steet Gaffney is a member of Main Street South Carolina and Main Street America, organizations dedicated to preservation-based economic development. Downtown Gaffney is a Nationally Accredited Main Street Program. The department provides resources to small business owners including business plan review, assistance with marketing, and administers the City of Gaffney's Downtown Façade Grant program.
The Main Street Gaffney office also manages the day-to-day operations of Downtown Gaffney.

Our Focus
Gaffney is an Aspiring Main Street SC community. Gaffney Downtown Main Street is charged with administering the Main Street Four-Point Approach® to establish economic development strategies for downtown revitalization (Organization, Promotion, Design and Economic Development) to implement a plan that achieves measurable results.
Gaffney Downtown Main Street is the economic engine for Gaffney's historic downtown district growth.
Business Promotion
Downtown Gaffney businesses will have opportunities for their products, services, events, and more to be featured on our Facebook, Instagram, and weekly e-newsletter. Businesses can also participate in the annual seasonal events hosted in Downtown Gaffney.

Financial Incentives
To encourage appropriate redevelopment work within downtown, qualified projects undertaken may be able to apply for financial incentives.
